Well this lesson is going to teach you how to make your hair look SCENE(:
LESSON 2: SCENE HAIR.
Well with all that gorgeous wardrobe you have you need your hair to match the style RIGHT?
Well here we go.
First off your gonna need the right haircut.
Most of the time when you go into the hair cutting place and tell them "Oh I want the Scene haircut", They will know what your talking about. But for some reason they dont know what it is, bring pictures just incase. They will get the idea. If not...go somewhere else.
Or if you dont want the kind that you tease and make big tell them otherwise. Or bring different pics.
Second off. Your gonna need the right supplies to do your new hair. This includes,
Teasing Comb,
Hair Spray,
Soft Bristle Brush,
Anti-Frizz Serum, (Optional)
Flat Iron,
And Blow Dryer.
Leave in Conditioner (optional)
Here, Ill take you through the steps.
1. Wash your hair GOOD.
2. When you get out brush it out. Then put in the Anti-Frizz serum and Leave in conditioner in. Then towel dry it for 2-4 mins.
3. Blow Dry it. When I say Blow Dry I mean BLOW DRY. Till its COMPLETLY DRY. If your air dry it, it will become curly and harder to flat iron.
4. Flat Iron your hair PIN STRAIGHT! I mean STRAIGHT AS STRAIGHT CAN GET! You may need to do this in sections because of your layers. (:
5.Section your hair off. Put all of the hair exept the bottom layer up. This will get it out of the way.
6. BACKCOMB THE LAYER THATS DOWN. Also known as Teasing. The way you backcomb is by takeing the teasing comb and instead of combeing down your comb UP at the roots. Your hair should start to poof up in that section. As you do each peice of the section spray it with the hairspray. Do this until that whole section is finished. Then put down another section until all the hair is done. REMEMBER to keep spraying. For a better example watch this video. (this is NOT me....IM BLONDE(: hehe)
Then when your FINISHED. And its HUGE. Brush the top layer over to where you cant see the knots below. (:
It should look somewhat of what you want it too(: But each time you do it you will become better at it(:
A few more side notes. For the ULTIMATE scene look, you need coontails(: Now these dont have to be on your real hair. They can be in some extensions. Now the thing is here, you cant buy coontail'd extensions. You have to make them yourself. (I have EVERY color there is.)
Go to your local beauty supply store (sally's is where I go) and get the REAL hair extensions. You should be able to find the "Sassy Collection" ones for 9 dollars at Sally's/ If you dont have a sally's go to the online store and order some. Or they should have pink/blue/purple/green/ect. colored hair extensions. These are about a foot long and 3 inches across. Also buy whatever color you want the coontails to be. Then buy the hair dye color you want for your stripes(: For a good looking coontail you need a bright color. As in Red, Green, Blue, Pink, And some coontails i have made are just plain bleach blonde with black stripes/ Whatever floats your boat. Manic Panic. MANIC FREAKING PANIC(: The BEST hair dye in the world. They have ALL colors(: Haha. Includeing the Bleaching Kit.
Also get some Hair Extension Clips. (the kind you sew on)
Now when you get home (If you bought the sassy collections) your going to need to cut these into sections. About 10 or so 3 inch across hair extensions should come out of one of these. Or if your hair is shorter and you didnt have the 2 long peices of hair that come down in the front then you need to cut two 6 inch pieces off. Now the thing is when you cut the Weave its going to unravel. You need a lighter. (BURN THE HOUSE DOWN!!!!...no jk). But your going to have to burn the end of the weave so that it dosent unravel (this is a MUST. Ive waisted at least 300 bucks by not doing this). When you have your extensions your going to need some masking tape. It cost like a buck. When you have your masking tape (id have somebody help you hold it) your going to need to wrap the masking tape TIGHT around the sections of the hair that you dont want dyed. Make it in a stripe pattern and make sure its TIGHT. (this works on your real hair too)
You need it tight because if not the dye will soak through and dye all of the hair whatever color your dyeing it.
When you have the hair section'd off you need to mix the dye up. (make sure you use all the dye and dye all the extentions within a 20 minute time period because dye can deactivate and will wash right out)
Now (WITH GLOVES) rub the dye into the non taped parts. Make sure you get ALL of the hair SOAKED in dye. RUB it in like theres no tommarow. And dont get it on your skin. It WILL stain and it wont come off for DAYS. Trust me.
Now let this sit for about 30 mins. When 30 mins is up, Wash them. Its normal to see exess dye going down the drain. Dont panic. Its normal. While washing pull the tape off. And wash them while holding them horizantily. NOT verticaly. Because the dye might get into the non-dyed hair.
Comb these out and let them dry. Make sure you got the REAL HUMAN HAIR EXTENSIONS because if not when you try to straighten 'em they will sizzle and melt. (TRUST ME)
Now straighten those babys xD
When they're straight/Dry/DONE, sew the clips onto the weave. Like below
Lastly your going to need Bows. Bobby Pins, ect.
Now to get cute bows You need to go to Clairs, HotTopic, and even the walmart baby section. Yes i said it. THE WALMART BABY SECTION(: haha they have ADORABLE bows. Your going to need Big bows and Little Bows. Also bobby pins because your going to need to pin your bangs back (thats if you got them the way they are SUPPOSED to be)
Well people. THERE YA GO(: Thats how to do your new scene hair(; I HOPE I HELPED(: Thanks(:
(Btw the picture below isnt me but its exactly how my hair is done)
Do you need big and poofy hair do be scene?
ReplyDeleteThanks ^ ^
